The owners of this property wanted to extend and update their home, giving themselves easier access to their garden, a more open plan living area and an updated overall look.

The existing plan has, for the main part, been retained, so although it looks like a completely new house, there has been suprisingly little structural change.

Due to the lie of the land, the front entrance is not at ground level, so the original outdoor steps have been enclosed in a turret, giving a dramatic first impression. The carport has been extended and a workshop added.

At the rear, the existing kitchen and laundry have been renovated and a large family room with clerestorey windows added. A new roof, contemporary colours and a rendered finish combine to give a fresh new look.
