Townhouses

In a previous era, the family home was the family home for life. Now, people are looking for different homes for different stages of their lives.

If you have a large block of land, you may be thinking about replacing it with a new smaller home and an investment property – as well as saving you watering and tending a large garden. The economics can be very convincing.

Project 4109 - Mont Albert

The clients were looking to provide themselves with a good-sized family home as well as building a second townhouse for investment purposes.

Both homes are two-storey and are designed to provide the occupants with ample living space, using gable roofs to maximise the second-storey space while retaining a compact feel.

Contemporary external and internal colours, timber floors and clean lines create a spacious interior atmosphere. Private open space for both units takes advantage of northern aspects. Spacious double garages are provided for both residences and each has its own private driveway.

Project 9933 - Hawthorn

A large corner block provided the clients with the opportunity to build two substantial residences each with its own street frontage.

Built as individual homes in complementary styles, both homes have a basement garage, preserving as much land as possible for gardens and private open space.

The corner home has a large basement with lap pool, triple garage, rumpus room and internal entry to foyer. On the ground floor are the main bedroom and large living areas which open onto a landscaped, sun-filled north-facing courtyard. Upstairs, with views to the bay, are a further three bedrooms with two bathrooms and spacious rumpus area.

The second home has a double basement garage with internal access to the entrance. Again this home has 4 bedrooms, all enjoying bayviews, and spacious living areas giving onto a landscaped sun-filled courtyard.
